“Being Centered”

Not the first time I have been to the Thompson Building in Chicago, but every time I go back I can find an image there.

LENS: Sony Vario-Tessar T* FE 16-35mm f/4 ZA OSS

NiSi 180mm Filter Holder (For Canon 11-24 Lens),

NiSi 82mm Adapter

NiSi Polarizing Filter 180x180mm

EXPO: ISO 500, 1/25 @ f/11 – 16mm

As I said in my intro, I have shot at this location before, and why wouldn’t I come back, the lines, patterns and shapes are amazing.

Seems odd, but as I think back through my previous shots, I don’t recall one being centered up like this. In part that may be due to the fact that there are often displays / events set up in the center. This time the middle was wide open, allowing me to frame up and capture the image that you see here.

Ideally this building interior, which is subject to floods of ambient light, is best shot when it’s a lousy day outside, making it the perfect bad weather photography location.
