CAMERA:

Canon 5D MarkIV

LENS:

Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM

ACCESSORIES:

Really Right Stuff L-Bracket,
Really Right Stuff Series 3 Tripod

EXPOSURE SETTING:

ISO 3200, 1/125 (-1.0) @ f/11.0 – 100mm

Technique And Composition:

It is often said, in portrait photography, that you want to engage your subkject’s personality.

I elected to get as low as possible so that I was shooting with the butterfly apparently looking down at me.

Even though it is a macro shot, I am still paying attention to placement of the subject in the frame and making sure that I divide on thirds lines wherever possible.
