A Shot A Day – 2018(TDN) (02/05/2018)
Every time I get out West and I am in the Page, AZ area, I try to make time to shoot in the Antelope Wash. There are numerous slot canyons there and many options for getting into them. I always find the light, shadows and colors very compelling.

When I came upon this scene, I was immediately drawn to the tightness of the chamber and the way that all four corners of the walls were nicely converging into the center.
I also made specific not of the diagonal that was present in the scene and made sure that I worked that into my composition.
As I envisioned this scene drawing viewers into the center and depth of the scene, focus stacking was used to maintain sharpness throughout that line from front to back. This is a composite of six frames, stacked upon one another.”
