Wow What a Rack

Our Jasper National Park workshop was certainly not disappointing. The sheer volume of scenery and wildlife is overwhelming.

Technique And Composition:

Headed in the for the evening, after a long day of shooting, and we spotted this rack walking into the cover of the woods for the night.

Half the battle, when spotting outstanding wildlife specimens, is to calm down and think through the shot, even though you have limited time.

I did exactly that and placed his backside in the middle of the frame, so I was looking through his antlers. I wanted the viewer to think about the view that he had as he called it a day.

Such a majestic animal and a wonderful alignment of colors and simplicity all at the same time.
