Behind The Scenes

While out scouting for images in New York city, at our last New York Street Photography workshop, came upon this scene where all the pieces just fell into place.

A Shot A Day - 2018(LMM) (070A of 365)-(11-03)

A Shot A Day – 2018(LMM) (070A of 365)-(11-03)

CAMERA:

Canon 5D MarkIV

LENS:

Tamron SO 24-70mm f/2.8

ACCESSORIES:

Really Right Stuff L-Bracket

EXPOSURE SETTING:

ISO 250, 1/30 (+0.3) @ f/8.0 – 33mm

Technique And Composition:

Sometimes you just have to change your perspective! Hopping up on someone’s shoulders, who was already standing on a bench, got me over the fence and the clean lines that I wanted.

The rail cars ideally frame up the bottom corners of the scene, leading to the ideal sunset sky. The scene really divides nicely use thirds as well.

This is one of those shots, where we were just in the right place, at the right time.
