A Shot A Day – 2018(LMM) (03/10/2018)
Layers Under Fog
Working just off the coast of Oregon, we came across this wooded mountain scene, dripping with layers of fog. From our recent Oregon Coast workshop.
Canon 5D MarkIV
Tamron SO 24-70mm f/2.8
Really Right Stuff L-Bracket,
Really Right Stuff Series 3 Tripod
ISO 320, 1/25 (-0.3) @ f/16.0 – 70mm
Technique And Composition:
The scene, as originally viewed, displayed light that was at the edge of the camera’s dynamic range. I shot this as a high dynamic range (HDR) sequence to ensure I capture details throughout the tonal range of the image.
The aperture of f/16 allowed for a maximum amount of depth and detail in the image.
