“Leaning”

Natural objects tend to offer some of the most interesting lines, shapes and patterns in their structure. Lots of different ways to interpret this image, but I really like both its lines and its textures.

A Shot A Day – 2016(B) (070B of 365)-(10-03) – A PS Twist on the Color Original

Canon 5DSR, Canon EF100mm f/2.8 Macro IS USM

ISO 1600 – 1/100 @ f/16

Canon MT-24EX Macro Flash, 2X Sto-Fen MT-24EX Diffusers

The starting image for this was a macro shot and in composing the image, in the viewfinder, I elected to be very careful in terms of the alignment of both the bottom edge of the subject as well as the lines angling upwards through the frame. Ultimately, while the original was bright green colors, I elected to go Black & White as I felt it was much more dramatic and impactful.
