As a local destination, Cincinnati offers a lot for photographers…plenty of excellent sites to be captured and some good eating.

Not to get too far off track here, but if your downtown a stop into Nicholson’s Pub is the way to go (http://www.nicholsonspub.com), as the food is awesome and the service is great. Once you’re done with lunch, make sure to spend some time walking around the area, that’s where I found this shot.

For me the converging lines, coupled with the reflections, worked really well. I worked at keeping the image centered and squared up in the frame. Not always easy with this type of shot, but spending a few minutes, physically moving yourself into the right position, pays off big time in post-production. With this type of shot, keep checking the entire frame in the viewfinder and look for things being centered, level and uniform.
